Brookfield Multiplex Property Trust (the Trust) was established in September 2003, in connection with the Initial Public Offer (IPO) and ASX listing of the Multiplex Group.
The Trust currently holds a core portfolio of 24 properties in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Perth and Canberra with a total value of $3.4 billion. In addition the Trust has an interest in investments including Multiplex New Zealand Property Fund, Multiplex Prime Property Fund, Multiplex Diversified Property Fund and Multiplex European Property Fund.
The portfolio is split by value consisting of 81% office, 14% retail 4% industrial and 1% car park.
A number of the Trust’s properties have been developed and constructed by Multiplex. The developed properties underpin a modern portfolio and include Southern Cross in Melbourne, World Square Shopping Centre in Sydney, the Ernst & Young Building in Perth and Pittwater Place Shopping Centre in Sydney.
